Scott Eaton and Scott Pettus shot a net 61 (11-under-par) to win the inaugural Dion Williams Memorial Golf Tournament at Indian Oaks.They won by three shots.

The other day I was asked by someone golfing at Cane Creek, why is it when I warm up on the range I hit the ball great, but when I get to the course I can’t repeat what I did on the range? The answer to his question was very simple, it is all in your head!

Golfing in cold weather

Just because it is cold outside does not mean you can’t play golf. When I lived in Vermont and Pennsylvania we played golf year round. We even played in snowstorms!

The cold weather does change the way you play and also makes scoring more difficult; so you have to play with a different mindset, and you must keep it fun.

Cory Etter and the team of Gary Austin and Don Maddox claimed the two showcase events of Cider Ridge Golf Course and its newly formed golf association. Austin and Maddox shot an 8-under-par 64 to win the course’s Member-Guest Tournament. Etter shot a two-day total of 131 to win the Club Championship.
