We all already know how important good balance is in pitching. Another important part of throwing strikes is “putting your fingers in the mitt.”

Most pitchers do not know what to do with their glove arm. Since that is the case, most have a “lazy” glove arm. This means that the pitcher is not using that arm in their mechanics, and it is probably limiting them to the amount of strikes that they throw.

Pitchers can improve their pitch location with this simple drill.

When running bases if the runner is at second base with two outs, he should take a step behind second base before getting his lead. This helps the runner round third base better when trying to score.

People may wonder why only 10 percent of players who are drafted in Major League Baseball actually get a chance to put on the uniform.

Outfielders need to learn at a very early age how important it is to hit their cut-off men from the outfield.

There are plenty of exercises baseball players can do to stay in shape.

In my opinion, the best college baseball coach is right here in Jacksonville. Coach Jim Case has been a friend of mine for ten years now.

I would like to say how proud I am of the Calhoun Community College baseball program. In their first year back in existence under head coach Jim Morrill, they sport a 37-9 record!
