JACKSONVILLE PARD BASKETBALL
WHO: 8 & under; 10 & under; 12 & under; 14 & under (inter locking schedule games may be on Saturdays)
WHEN: November 1st – 14th, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (Closed Nov. 11th)
WHERE: Jacksonville Community Center
COST: $35 per child and $30 each additional child in the same family (Cost includes a team jersey and team trophy; 1st , 2nd and sportsmanship).
SEASON: December 5th. - typically by 3rd week in February
Coaches Meeting: Projected for November 10th.
Game Days: Mon/Tu/Thur/Fri
Game Times: 5:30pm/6:30pm/7:30pm
Practice Starts: Week of November 24th. Practice time and days are up to the Volunteer Coach. Days and times of practice and games are not to exceed
4 hours. Typical practices are one hour to an hour and a half.
Basketball Used: ages 8 & under junior size 27; 10 & under use 28.5 basketball (girl’s ball); 12 & under &14 & under use regulation basketball.
Equipment to Purchase: the team will decide on a team color for the shorts. Shorts are not provided. All players must wear shoes with
non-marking soles.
Player Selection: All kids are put in a draft system in order to make teams as equal and fair as possible. The only children guaranteed to be on a certain team are the coaches children.
Draft: Projected for November 17th.
