Noma's School Of Gymnastics "flipping" through an outstanding season

Aerial, layout, tuck, clearhip, giants, double fulls — this is a foreign language to most children, teens and even adults. But to the more than 50 young ladies competing in gymnastics at Noma’s, this is an everyday language.

These girls work out anywhere from 6 to 12-plus hours per week, and their hard work is paying off. All six of their competitive teams are achieving success this season.

The Level 8 Optional Team (Kari McGrady, Morgan Cox, Elizabeth Overton, Danielle Ogletree, Dori Thompson, Allie Segrest) has placed 1st or 2nd in seven of their eight meets this year.

The Prep-optional 3 Team (Jenny Frost, Erin Tinker, Jessica Baines, Haley Cobb, Kaci Johnson, Devon West, Micaela Serrano, Marissa Washington, Mariah Scales, Rylee Segrest, Savannah Staton, Savannah Liner) has placed 1st in all three of their meets this year.

These young ladies travel all over Alabama competing, and are well representing gymnastics from Anniston. The Optional Level 8 Team and Prep-optional 3 Team will be traveling to Panama City, Fla. Feb. 17-20 to compete in the Edgewater Classic.
