Lookin’ for love? Create a 2006 BMW Combo Tennis Team

Interested in playing 2006 BMW Combo Doubles? Well, the time to get ready is now!

Registration to Create a Team opens May 25. The last day to create a team will be June 12. We’ll start play June 19 so we can get in a couple of matches before the July 4 break. The last day to add a player to your team will be July 21.

5.5 Ladies (Wednesday morning), 5.5 Afterwork Ladies (Tuesday night), 5.5 Men (Tuesday night), 6.5 Ladies (Monday morning), 6.5 Men (Saturday) are offered.

It will be important to form leagues with an even number of teams so we don’t have “bye” weeks. Since the format is three doubles matches, six players can form a team; 8-10 is ideal so everyone can play several matches while having a few extra in case someone can’t play that match. More players per team than that may spread us “too thin,” and leave a flight with only one or two teams.

Our 2005 Combo captains were Jill Rutledge, Tracy Christen, Lisa Putnam, Kathryn Winslett and Beverly Cross. Several others have committed to be 2006 captains. So, you need to begin forming your team or seeking a team to play for because there is only going to be about a two-week window to register a team.
